Difference between car air conditioning refrigerant r134a and hfc-134a

R134a

HFC134a

Molecular formula: CH2FCF3 (tetrachloroethane) ,Molecular weight: 102.03,Boiling point: -26.1 °C ,Critical temperature, 101.1 °C ,Critical pressure, 4010 kpa

As can be seen from the above, R134a and HFC134a are two different substances, but there is basically no difference in physical properties and they can be used interchangeably. Both R134a and HFC134a have zero ODP values. R134a and HFC134a are mainly used in automotive air conditioning, domestic appliances, small stationary refrigeration equipment, medium temperature refrigeration in supermarkets, commercial and industrial refrigeration units, and in the refrigeration industry.
